What is the Coastal Wildlife Kayak Tour?

DOLPHINS - MANATEES - FLAMINGOS - AND SO MUCH MORE!

Paddle to an uninhabited island or through a maze of twisted mangrove forests in the Coastal Wildlife Kayak Tour. As you glide through the shallow lagoon of a wildlife refuge, keep your eyes peeled for playful dolphins, gentle manatees, colorful flamingos, and a whole cast of slippery stingrays and wading birds. This is your chance to get up close and personal with the wildest coastal critters!

Our stops along this tour may include Bird Island (wind-dependent), a mangrove forest, known manatee observation areas, or shallow flats teeming with rays, hermit crabs, and mullet!

Frequently Asked Questions

Are there alligators?

Yes, but we respect the locals, and we appreciate each other's company from a distance.

Water shoes vs flip flops?

Basically, just wear shoes that can get wet while walking around the launch site. You can take shoes off once in the kayak.

Can I bring snacks?

Most kayaks have room for a small cooler bag to bring cold drinks and snacks since it’s a longer tour. No alcohol, please.

Are we in the kayak for the full two hours?

The two hours is from meet time to finish. No need to arrive early unless you want to. Three hours includes: check in, gear up, safety brief, paddle lesson before launching, and then, of course, the tour.

Rebecca was amazing! The Bioluminescence paddle boarding was mind blowing and so worth it! We will be back again next year! We had dolphins and manatees swimming along with us! You can see so many stars! The bioluminescence was mind blowing!!!! The water lit up every time we touched it, it looked like little blue twinkling stars on our hands, and it was so cool to see the manatees and fish glowing as they swam by! MAGICAL!!!

Wow! What an amazing tour! We had a great time kayaking on the coastal wildlife tour. Rebecca was so knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, and just overall awesome. We felt safe and saw more wildlife than I’ve ever seen kayaking. I definitely recommend this tour.

Omg Rebecca was such an awesome tour guide. Starting with the booking process everything flowed smoothly. She was super knowledgeable about the area pointing out different birds plants etc. The tour was so intimate and catered just for us. Rebecca is very passionate about what she does and it shows in the quality of service we received. I’m so happy to have crossed paths with her and can’t wait to do something like this again!

Laine Allen

I would like to HIGHLY recommend Rebecca! We did her photography kayak tour to see the Flamingos and other beautiful migrating birds at Merritt Island National Refuge. She’s prompt, has great gear and equipment and most of all is knowledgeable, kind, engaging, focused on safety and the enjoyment and comfort of the guests. As a FL native, I am always happy to see other native nature lovers who share this with others. I cannot offer a higher recommendation!
